  • These rules apply to all participants at the convention

The Anti-Theism International Convention is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable experience for everyone attending.

Harassment of any kind during the Convention will not be tolerated.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to, unwelcome attention, verbal harassment, sexual harassment, deliberate intimidation, stalking or unwanted physical contact - let alone physical assault or battery. It also includes harassment, intimidation and other inappropriate behaviors on social media or other forms of communication.

To avoid misunderstandings, explicitly ask for people's permission when interacting with them.

For instance, ask if you can sit with them and respect their wishes if they decline.

If you are being harassed, you notice that someone else is being harassed, you feel your safety has been compromised or have any other concerns, please contact the Convention Organizers immediately.

Your reports of harassment or similar activity will be recorded and the Organizers will discuss the situation with any relevant parties and a decision will then be made on what action is to be taken.

Convention participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the Convention at the discretion of the Organizers.

We operate zero tolerance to any form of harassment or victimization and expect all staff members, delegates/guests, contractors and sub-contractors to treat each other with respect, courtesy and consideration.

A person subjects another to harassment by engaging in unwanted conduct or contact which has the purpose or effect of violating another person’s dignity, to cause an individual to feel offended intimidated or humiliated.

The recipient does not need to have explicitly stated that the behaviour was unwanted for it to be considered harassment.

In addition to dealing with the harassment quickly and decisively ourselves, Organizers will provide full co-operation and assistance to members by helping them contact security and/or the Police, providing escorts or otherwise helping those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the Convention. We take such issues seriously.
